Welcome to Heyshark Aquatic Academy.
I'm the founder of Heyshark, and swimming has been a major part of my life for almost 15 years. Throughout my journey as a swim coach, I have had the privilege of teaching swimmers of different ages, abilities and personalities — from children taking their very first steps into the pool to swimmers working towards becoming more confident and capable in the water.
Over the years, I have learned that teaching swimming is about much more than teaching strokes.
It is about seeing a child who was once afraid of the water slowly gain confidence. It is about watching a swimmer struggle with a skill, keep trying and eventually achieve it. And sometimes, it is simply about helping a child discover that they are capable of more than they thought.
These experiences shaped the way I wanted to build Heyshark.
I wanted to create a swim school where safety, quality coaching and genuine care for every swimmer come first. A place where children can learn in a structured environment while still enjoying their time in the pool.
At Heyshark, we believe in building strong foundations rather than rushing through lessons. We want our swimmers to understand what they are learning, develop good habits and gradually become independent and confident in the water.
As we continue to grow, my personal commitment remains the same — to ensure that the standards we set for our swimmers are also the standards we set for ourselves.
We may continue to expand into more locations and welcome more families into the Heyshark community, but at the heart of everything we do will always be the same belief:
Every child can learn to swim. Every swimmer can improve. And every journey deserves to be supported.
